CAS CONQUER CHEMICS
Tigers NewsThe Tigers got back to winning ways today, seeing off a determined effort from bottom side Widnes. In the ad breaks between another edition of Sky TV's Steve Ganson show (jesus, when that man gets in front of a camera...!!) Cas cruised to a 36-12 victory, despite making heavy weather of the fixture at times. But after the huge disappointments of recent weeks the win was very much a relief.

Our Match Report is now on line (just go to fixtures & click the report), and for all you Aye-Liars, we'll have the next round up tomorrow night if our web host can ever sort out the stupidly annoying super-slow page loading.

TOOTHLESS TIGERS FED TO THE WOLVES
Tigers NewsThe Tigers suffered another big defeat at Warrington, going down 6-54,despite a spirited second half the damage was done in the first half as the Tigers failed to score any points and allowed the rampant Wolves to go in 38 points in front.

For what it's worth the match report (such that it is) is now on the site.

RANGI COPS THREE MATCH BAN
Tigers NewsAs expected Tigers half back Rang-dog Chase has been handed a three-match ban for the challenge that left Featherstone winger Tangi Ropati with a broken jaw.
He was found guilty of the grade C offence at a hearing in Leeds and was given a £300 fine in addition to a three-game ban.
The commitee found him guilty of a 'Reckless' challenge rather than an intentional attack on Ropati but to listen to some of the Keyboard warriors on various sites Rang-dog should be hung ,dwarn and quartered and his body parts paraded round the streets of Featherstone till the crows pick his eyes out ....

RANGI FACES BAN
Tigers NewsTigers stand off Rangi Chase is facing a ban after being charged over an incident in the Cup loss at Fev ,that left Featherstone winger Tangi Ropati with a broken jaw.

Rang-Dog was put on report during during the defeat on Saturday, and has been ordered to face the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee on Tuesday on a grade C charge, which carries a suspension of two or three matches.
Whilst we have to admit that it did look a bad challenge and a ban is probably deserved ,it makes us cringe with embarrassment at some of the comments on the various RL forums and in the media , FFS Rang-dog hasn't killed no-one or shot somebody , Hes made an ill-timed challenge that has unfortunately caused damage to an opponents jaw.
TIGERS LACK BITE AT FEV
Tigers NewsThe Tigers crashed out of the Challenge Cup at our local rivals Featherstone Rovers 16-23 as the media got the 'Shock' they had been wanting.Personally i dont see this result as a major shock , It was always going to be hard at Post Office Road , The Rovers would have seen this game as their cup final and the Tigers form hasn't been in all honesty brilliant despite recent games.
Local Referee Bent Thaler didnt do the guys any favours ,letting Fev lay on alot longer than our guys are used to and a couple of dodgy decisions cost us BUT at the end of the day in my opinion Fev wanted it more and i think we thought all we had to do was turn up and we'd win , Well we didnt ,so fair play to Fev
We'll have a short match report on the fixtures page soon ........
BIG GUNS RETURN FOR FEV GAME
Tigers News Tigers head coach Basil Millward has named eight returning players in his 19-man squad for Saturday's Carnegie Challenge Cup 4th round tie at Featherstone.

Making way for the returning players are hooker Ryan Hudson, back rows Lee Mitchell, James Grehan & John Davies, prop Steve Nash, winger Josh Atkinson, plus James Clare and Ben Johnson who both were non-playing
members of Monday's squad.
Jordan Thompson and Adam Milner, retain their places having impressed against St Helens on Monday.
On naming his squad, head coach Ian Millward said:
"It's a knock out game so no one is going to worry about for or against. It's all about what happens on the day. The environment will be intense; a great atmosphere which is fantastic for the players. It will be interesting to see which team handles it the best.
"It is a big game, but our main focus is about getting through to the next round of the Challenge Cup. I'm very confident if we put our best foot forward then we can achieve that."

The Aye Stables Come Up Trumps
The Aye Stables Come Up TrumpsIt's been a long hard slog, mucking out at five in the morning, but tonight the endless hours of hard work paid off as the Aye's horse came in on Race Night! You might think we're just a bunch of Cas fans who don't get out much (and you'd be right!) but occasionally we do, and occasionally we go to the Supporters' Club Race night. On even rarer occasions we sponsor a horse and - once every blue moon - that horse wins! Tonight the moon was bluer than the famous Blue Stone of Galveston.

Seriously, we attended the CTSC Race Night tonight down at the Wish Communications Lounge and we had a cracking time! Everyone there had a great night and - more to the point - the Supporters' Club managed to raise almost £700 on the night... a superb achievement!

Coming up from CTSC are firstly a discussion evening with the game's media (should be interesting) and after that the promise of a night with head coach Ian Millward. Don't miss that one... Join CTSC NOW!!
