Date: 13th August 2010 Final Plans Revealed: The club release details of the final stadium design put forward by Ramsden & Partners. A collection of images are posted on the website and feedback is invited from fans. Final planning permission will be submitted in October and the build is on course for a 2012 completion.
Date: 6th May 2010 Architect Selected: Tigers CEO Richard Wright finally announces the appointment of an architect for the stadium project, Ramsden & Partners Ltd of Leeds. Detailed planning permission is now set to be submitted later in 2010.
Date: 21st April 2010 Cas' Appeal for Stadium Help. A story appears in the Yorkshire Post, stating Cas needs help from the Council to secure the necessary land for stadium access routes.
Date: 19th January 2010 Potential Delay for Tigers. According to Sporting Life's website,Tigers CEO admits the recession could delay delivery of the stadium. Cas may have to hope the RFL accept a staged build.
Date: 11th December 2009 Visitors Centre Opens. At the newly opened visitor centre at Xscape, Richard Wright goes on TigerTV to flesh out the new timeline a little more. He hopes that construction will commence June/July 2010.
Date: 19th November 2009 And Then There Were Four. The Tigers announce that the search to appoint an architect has been narrowed down to four finalists. The construction start is revised to 'the middle of 2010'.
Date: 24th September 2009 Surfworld. The YEP runs a story about a new indoor water park to be built at Glasshoughton. RIchard Wright hails it as 'another major step forward to our achieving a new home'.
Date: 15th September 2009 Building Momentum. (Penultimate para) The official website's season review comments on 'building momentum' and promises 'exciting developments .. released very soon'.
Date: 2nd September 2009 Xscape and Architects. The official website announces the setting up of a Stadium Information Centre within the Xscape complex at Glasshoughton. They also reveal that the process of selecting a firm of architects is progressing well and say they hope to have a decison made within the month.
Date: 21st May 2009 Stadium Update. An update on the official website confirms that the detailed design specification is complete, heralding a final stage of talks with WMDC. The club are also to commence talks with a number of architects interested in bidding for the build.
Date: 17th May 2009 More Stadium Rumour. Unofficial sources claim that a Tigers delegation is heading off to Sweden to talk to the stadium builders, while we speculate on a reason for the secrecy.
Date: 22nd April 2009 Stadium Update. The Tigers respond to Wakey's stadium news by reassuring fans and countering rumours of a groundshare.
Date: 16th April 2009 New stadium plans for Wakefield. News emerges of a new plan for the Wildcats, this time at Stanley - just off the M62 and uncomforably close to Castleford.
Date: 19th January 2009 Waystone News. Waystone completes the Wakefield College Skills Xchange building at Glasshoughton, close to the stadium site.
Date: 12th February 2009 Rovers make genuine offer to Wildcats. The P&C reports on an offer from Featherstone regarding an audacious potential groundshare with Wakefield.
Date: 14th January 2009 Waystone News. Waystone release news of more warehousing opportunities at Glasshoughton.
Date: 15th October 2008 Rugby's Castleford Tigers appoints Blue Crocodile. The Drum, a Marketing Services website, reports that Cas have appointed a sports agency to secure naming rights and related sponsorship deals for the Glasshoughton stadium.
Date: 3rd October 2008 Tiger TV. Richard Wright again appears on Tiger TV, this time in a one-to-one camera piece to quash rumours of a Glasshoughton groundshare with Wakefield and to explain the financial aspects of the project, including what input (if any) WMDC will have in building the stadium. He also talks about the sale of the Jungle and (while acknowledging there have been delays) confirms that the club is still expecting to have the stadium finished by mid 2010.
Date: 16th September 2008 Tigers happy with stadium progress. The Ponte & Cas reports on progress and makes note of possible groundsharing talks with Wakey.
Date: 13th September 2008 Ground share option 'remote' . The Yorkshire Evening Post interview the CEO's of both Cas and Wakey after Trin's Thornes Park project falls apart. As the headline suggests, the paper concludes that there's little chance of a groundshare at Glasshoughton.

Cas issue the first in a series of website stadium updates, confirming that outline planning permission has been submitted by Waystone for the stadium and associated buildings. The announcement marks the start of a new stadium adventure following a previous failed attempt at Whitwood and scaled down plans to smarten up The Jungle.
